Did you participate in the first 26-day Summer Fitness Challenge?  If not, here is your chance to join other Summer Fitness Challenge athletes by registering for Round 2!  Did you register for Round 1 and want to continue your efforts toward a healthier you?  You can continue working out for another 26-days as a part of Round 2!

We have taken all the guess work out of planning what to do and how to do it so that you can make an IMPACT in your health and wellbeing and in the lives of those living with the challenges of epilepsy!

Athletes vs Epilepsy has partnered with the Wellness Institute and Athletes Vs Epilepsy Ambassador Jenny LaBaw who has designed your daily work out for you!

Round 2 of the Summer Fitness Challenge begins July 5th and runs through July 30th. Registration for new athletes is open now so that you have time to create your fundraising page and find the perfect space in your home, outside, or even your office to do your workout!  If you participated in Round 1, you are all set! 

Work out videos will restart on your app on July 5th!

New Athletes: Here is what you need to do:

  • Click the purple Register Button.
  • Share your story on your fundraising page and send out to friends and family and ask for a donation in support the Epilepsy Foundation and your efforts to raise funds and awareness.
  • Register to track your workouts on our tracking app (you will receive instructions on how to upload that after you register).
  • Start working out on July 5th toward a healthier you!

Each Athlete vs Epilepsy will receive:

  • An Athletes vs Epilepsy customizable online fundraising page to tell the story of why you are participating.
  • Athletes vs Epilepsy Toolkit Guide to Fundraising
  • Daily work out videos.

Athletes vs. Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes of all ages and levels, coaches, volunteers and fans.  The goal is to raise awareness, build participation, and help fund the Epilepsy Foundation’s mission to stop seizures and SUDEP, find a cure, and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy through efforts including education, advocacy, and research to accelerate ideas into therapies. Before getting started, there may be a few things you need to consider.   

  • Visit your primary care doctor and get a check-up.
  • Ask about exercising – what you can do and what you should avoid.
  • Don’t start any new activity or exercise without consulting your doctor.
  • If you have epilepsy, talk to the neurologist treating your epilepsy about the impact of exercise on your seizures.  

While the Summer Fitness Challenge is a unique opportunity for you to improve your wellbeing, it is important that you do so under the guidance of your medical team.
